Best Saint Helen’s Day Ever?

This year the Benefice celebrated the feast of Saint Helen with a special Mass, Procession and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament on the Eve of Saint Helen’s Day, Monday 17th August 2015.  The Bishop of Beverley presided at the liturgy and was assisted by the Rector and six other con-celebrating priests.

In the congregation of just over seventy, people had come from as far afield as Hull, Hemlington and Middlesbrough.  Also present were two two sisters form the Order of the Holy Paraclete alongside good representation from other local parishes.  The evening concluded with the traditional Saint Helen’s Day Buffet Supper.

Father Adam said, “A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s wonderful Patronal Festival.  It has been the best we have ever shared together in my time as Rector!”
