The East Cleveland Walsingham Cell met on Tuesday 19th January 2016 at Saint Margaret’s Parish Church Brotton, to offer a Mass for Christian Unity in the week of prayer for Christian unity.

Despite the rain, a congregation of twenty-five gathered at All Saints’ Parish Church Skelton-in-Cleveland, for an Assumption-tide Mass, on the evening of Friday 14th August 2015.

On Tuesday 28th April 2015 the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell met at Saint Aidan’s Parish Church Boosbeck.  Mass was celebrated by the Bishop of Beverley on his first visit to the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell.

A congregation of over thirty gathered in All Saints’ Parish Church Skelton-in-Cleveland for the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell Mass for the Feast of the Assumption, Friday 15th August 2014.

Members of the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell gathered together for their June meeting on Tuesday 24th June 2014 at St Helen’s Parish Church Carlin How.

Mass for the Solemnity of St John-the-Baptist was sung and as part of the liturgy, members were sprinkled with Holy Water, which had been brought back from the well at Walsingham.

Sixteen members of the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell gathered at St Aidan’s Parish Church Boosbeck for the May Walsingham Cell Mass on Tuesday 27th May 2014.

April 2014 Cell Mass for St Mark’s Day

Members of the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell met together to celebrate the transferred Feast of St Mark the Evangelist on Tuesday 29th April 2014 at St Margaret’s Parish Church in Brotton.

Father Jonathan, the Rector of Brotton, celebrated the Mass; Father Adam gave a short homily and Father Valerie lead the intercessions.  The Service was followed by refreshments.

March 2014 Cell High Mass

On Tuesday 25th March 2014,  members of the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell gathered together at St Leonard’s Parish Church Loftus, for a Prayer Book High Mass with Sermon, to mark the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lady.

The Cell was also pleased to welcome The Revd Canon Angela Bailey, the new Diocesan Lay Development Adviser and Training Adviser for the Cleveland Archdeaconry.

The High Mass also celebrated and marked the first anniversary of the East Cleveland Walsingham Cell.  The East Cleveland Walsingham Cell has grown in numbers during the past twelve months and is now attracting members from across the Deanery of Guisborough.

The next Walsingham Cell Service will take place on Tuesday 29th April 2014 (St Mark’s Day) at St Margaret’s Parish Church Brotton.  All are welcome.

February 2014 Cell Healing Mass

A congregation of twenty-two attended the February East Cleveland Walsingham Cell Service at All Saints’ Parish Church Skelton-in-Cleveland on the evening of Tuesday 25th February 2014.

photo 1The service took the form of a Sung Mass with the Healing Liturgy of the “Laying on of Hands” and “Anointing with Holy Oil.”  The Rector of Loftus presided at the Eucharist, the Rector of Skelton preached the Sermon and the Rector of Brotton led the Prayers of Intercession.

After the service concluded, the congregation shared in further fellowship over refreshments, which had been kindly provided by members from All Saints’ Parish Church Skelton.
