Civic & Ecumenical Carol Service 2013

The Mayor of Loftus was joined by the Mayor of the Borough of Redcar & Cleveland, the Mayor of Guisborough, the Leader of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, by Tom Blenkinsop MP and by members of our local community for the Annual Civic and Ecumenical Christmas Carol Service on Friday 20th December 2013, 7:30 pm at St Joseph and St Cuthbert’s RC Church Loftus.

In the absence of Father Dacey, who was representing the Bishop of Middlesbrough at an event in York, the Ecumenical Carol Service was conducted by the Rector and by the local Methodist Minister the Revd Grace Seymour.

The congregation of civic guests and community members were treated to a feast of music supplied by Marie Downs (organist) the St Joseph and St Cuthbert’s Folk Group and Choir, and by members of Marske Brass Band whose rendition of of the Christmas Carols and of Seasonal Music raised the roof.

Following the service the Mayor of Loftus held a Civic Reception of season refreshments in Loftus Town Hall for our civic guests and for members of our local community.
