New Director of Music for Loftus Parish!

Following a recruitment process of several months, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Richard Bendelow GRSM (London), ARCM, ARSCM as the new Director of Music and organist.  

Richard is no stranger to Loftus Parish having previously served as organist and director of music here between 2016 and 2021, and having served in the Deanery of Guisborough since 1979. 

Commenting on his appointment, our Rector, Father Adam Gaunt said, “We are truly delighted to welcome Richard back to Loftus Parish as our Director of Music, organist, and choir master!  Richard returns with as much enthusiasm for musical ministry as ever, and the Parochial Church Council, the choristers, and the whole church family look forward greatly to working together again in the months and years ahead.  I also wish to thank everyone who has supported the choir and the musical life of Loftus Parish while we have been between organists, your support and patience has been greatly appreciated.”
